Finally, all Digimon [Digital Monsters] fans around the world got their new season of Digimon. Digimon Season 5 : Digimon Savers, I was to happy when I got the news ard Jan 2006. I am one crazy fan of Digimon and its collectibles. Warning. This blog is gonna contains a lot of screencaps and photos. !
I started having my 1st Virtual Pet, as a electronic dog, a gift from Li Fen. Ya. Not a TAMAGOCHI, too common liao. Still remember the days in Primary School, everyone is so crazy whenever there are new virtual pets released to the market. Mostly is of cos, the TAMAGOCHI. Then new breeds of Vpets come into the story, dogs, cats, dinosaurs and MORE!.
The craze started to become a fashion, all primary kids MUS HAVE. Like teenagers must have handphones! Hehe. I was studying in MacPherson Primary School, ard Primary 5, our old school building become MacPherson Secondary’s Annex Block. We shifted to Mattar Rd’s Alijunied Primary and combined. By then Tamagochi and Vpets have been overthrow with Digital Monsters, a new generation of Vpets which no one will imagine that it will become so famous and popular, even the adult working population are breeding their own digimons!.
One incident which I can remember VIVIDLY is until our Primary 5 NAFA test. Because I was not able to take NAFA test. I still have to go back to the school for attendance. And I was the god. Discipline Masters and teachers will taking the opportunity to SEARCH AND DESTROY our Digimons. Haha. Since I am taking care of wallets of my classmates, naturally I am oso the pt breeder of their Digimon and mine. That time, I brought ard 3 of them to school. And + my classmates, imagine my pockets. Yes. They dun jus bring 1 or 2. some brought 5 to 6 of them. All Teddymons, lol, all cheat go use tabs to do code! Me is really go breed. And I have to siam all teachers in my way to protect all the digimons. To us wallet missing is ok. Digimon is our life, CANNOT GO MISSING! So imagine how stress am I! Those unlucky ones will have their Digimon thrown into the GARBAGE BIN. The big big rubbish collecting ones. After the tests, the most popular place to be is no longer the canteen, its in the bin. All the poor souls there. BOY: “Hey, whose Digimon is this?”. Like auctioning like that. HAHA. It’s the old days.
Then during tuitions at CDAC class, under everyone desk, is a Vpet. Me of cos oso lah.!
Go to toilet of canteen u can see two by two, all queuing to battle which others. Those who had lost their digimons will either be mourning over it or at one side using their tabs do codes!
By then I should have over 12 digimon 1st Generation, and 2 digimon 2nd generations. The prices of 3rd, 4th , 5th generation sky rocketed to a heaven figure for a Primary and Lower Sec students. Its about 39.95 for a 3rd Generation. Imagine the price.
The Digimon PENDULUM SYSTEM is introduced, now instead of inserting commands you shake ur Digimon Pendulum for power. And more digimon are brought into the knowledge. I spent 3 months to save up of a Pendulum technology Digimon. And got myself a Digimon PENDULUM Generation 2. The Marine type Digimons. Then it battled with me till sec 1 or so. Instead of Battling, a new option is introducing. JOGRESS . JO – Join GRESS – Progress. But combining the attributes of both JOGRESS DIGIMON and evolve to a Ultimate or Perfect Digimon. I really liked it a lot.
Sec 1, Digital Monsters the Anime finally aired in Singapore. All digimon fans, took out their Digimons and begin to train and breed digimon again. Then I started to collect the Digivices and related products. I am an official Digimon Pro.
Until today, I got a lot a lot of digimon already. IF not for my parents to throw most of my Gen 1 digimons away. I think I am the most Digimon PRO COLLECTOR IN SG le bah.

Back to Digimon Savers. I watched the 1st episode, which is aired in JP 2nd Apr 06. Great. At least better then the 3rd Season Tamers and 4th Season Frontiers.
Heres a brief summary:
It is set in the near future. The existence of "Digital Monster" has been confirmed with the discovery of net world, "Digital World". From the efforts of the leading authority of the research of Digimon and the Digital World, Daimon Suguru, we start to understand more about the life of Digimon and rare existance of evil Digimon... The government establishes the "Digital World Special Investigation Force - DATS (Digital Accident Tactics Squad)" for Digimon measures. The team of Professor Daimon's only son Masaru, Tohma and Yoshino puts a stop to the evil Digimon!
The protagonist, Masaru, is a second year Junior High student, and is undefeated in battle. Although his skills with personal computers and technology are lacking, his father (now missing) is the leading authority on "Digital World" research. He meets the Digital Monster Agumon, who has escaped from DATS (Digital Accident Tactics Squad), a secret government organization. Despite terrible first impressions, the two become best friends by talking with their "fists". With the other members of DATS, Masaru and Agumon work to investigate various incidents involving the Digital World and Digital Monsters, to try and get to the bottom of things...
